The Heritage Trust Annual dinner will be on December 5, 2024, at the General Morgan Inn, beginning with a reception with punch in the hotel lobby at 6:00 PM followed by the dinner and program at 6:30 PM. This years annual dinner will focus on Sergeant Elbert L Kinser who died in combat on May 4, 1945, during World War II Battle of Okinawa. He was awarded the nation’s highest award for valor in the military service on July 4, 1946, in a major ceremony in Greeneville. The recently destroyed Kinser Park and severely damaged Kinser Bridge, due to Hurricane Helene, were named in honor of Sergeant Kinser. The deadline for reservation numbers for the dinner is November 29, 2024.
