Dr. Robert “Robby” Remine Broyles III, age 62, born November 19, 1963, of Chuckey, passed away on July 26, 2026.
Robert was a 1982 graduate of Chuckey Doak High School. He received his bachelor’s degree from Tennessee Tech where he served as President of Sigma Chi, Eta Delta Chapter Fraternity. He earned his Doctor of Pharmacy Degree at Campbell University.
He was a pharmacist in North Carolina for over 30 years. His compassion for others was his trademark, and he was known for helping others and his knowledge of medication. He enjoyed talking to others and listening to their needs. He never met a stranger and always had a beautiful smile for others.
He loved practical jokes and laughter with friends. Robert will be missed by the many who looked to him for guidance and friendship.
Robert loved hunting, trapping, and being outdoors, and his favorite pastime was quiet time in the woods. He will be deeply missed by many.
Robert was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Howard Painter; and his grandparents, Robert Remine Broyles Sr. and Nebraska Broyles, and Hack and Virginia Sanders.
He is survived by his wife, Lisa Broyles; stepsons, Seth Lady of Johnson City and Drew Lady of Chuckey; parents, Bobby and Mariedith Broyles of Chuckey; and brothers, Sam (Autumn) Broyles and Steve (Carrie) Broyles, all of Chuckey. He is also survived by mother-in-law, JoAnn Painter and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends 12:30pm – 3:00pm Sunday, August 2, 2026, at Chuckey Methodist Church, 430 Highland Street, Chuckey, TN 37641. The service will follow at 3:00pm with Rev. Paul Winchester officiating and Rex Darnell to deliver the eulogy.
Interment will follow at Chuckey Community Cemetery.
Active Pallbearers are Sam Broyles, Steve Broyles, Jake Broyles, Cooper Broyles, Allen Painter, Johnny Painter, Steven Painter, and Chris Renfro.
Honorary Pallbearers will be his former classmates and teammates of Chuckey Doak High School as well as his former pharmacy colleagues.
