Clifford Ray “Rooster” Morgan, 55, passed away Oct. 15, 2026.
He was born March 21, 1971, in Greeneville. Ray was an avid Tennessee Vols fan. He loved NASCAR, drag racing and his best friend, his pit bull, O.C.
Survivors include his mother, Marsha Costner (Morgan); daughter, Taylor Nicole; sisters, Linda Gail and Jerry Williams, and Amy “Roundtree” Morgan; brothers, Israel and Joseph Morgan; grandchildren, Annaleigh, Gracie and Tyler; uncle, TJ and Loretta Morgan; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Troy “Peewee” Morgan; grandparents, Hubert and Gertrude Malone, and Robert and Mary Morgan; and several aunts and uncles.
Visitation will be held from 3-5 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 8, 2026, at Doughty-Stevens Funeral Home. A celebration of Ray’s life will follow at 5 p.m. in the funeral home chapel, with Preacher Cory Malone officiating.
