Brenda Sue Lindamood of Greeneville, Tennessee, went to be with the Lord Friday, Sept. 18, 2026, after a brief illness.
She was born Aug. 15, 1966, in Bristol, Tennessee.
Brenda was preceded in death by her parents, Roy Allen Lindamood and Ruby Gertrude (née Leonard) Lindamood of Kingsport, Tennessee, and sister, Connie Waters Lindamood of Samson, Alabama.
Brenda is survived by three nephews, Dustin (Alexis) Hopkins of Vancouver, Washington, Cody Hopkins of Mt. Carmel, Tennessee, and Tyler (Amy) Hopkins of Kingsport, Tennessee; one great-niece, Eliana Ruby Hopkins; as well as aunts, uncles and cousins.
Brenda was a 1984 graduate of Sullivan Central High School, where she began studying art. After graduation, she continued her education and earned an MA in art and education from East Tennessee State University.
She was employed by the Unicoi County and Greene County school systems as an art teacher for 28½ years. She was a member of Artists Who Teach and displayed her artwork in Unicoi County, Greeneville and Greene County over the years. She was also a member of Brookside Baptist Church in Bristol, Tennessee.
Brenda was very outgoing and fun to be around. She had many friends who loved her. Brenda will always be known as kind, caring, talented and funny, with a special love for animals, especially dogs. She was loved by all who knew her, and she will be deeply missed.
There will be a funeral service at noon Friday, Sept. 25, 2026, at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home, officiated by the Rev. Mike Nixon.
There will be a private graveside service at Greenwood Cemetery, 839 Bluff City Highway, Bristol, Tennessee, at a later time.
Memorial donations may be made in Brenda’s name to Rocky Top Veterinary Hospital, 5415 Andrew Johnson Highway, Afton, Tennessee 37616.
