Beverlee Jean Foshie, 51, of Greeneville, passed away on Friday, July 17, 2026, at Encompass Rehabilitation Center in Kingsport while recovering from a stroke.
She was born in Sidney, Ohio, on August 20, 1974.
For the past 28 years, she was an LPN at Laughlin Memorial Hospital/Ballad Greeneville Community Hospital East. The last 16 years in the emergency room caring for others.
She was Baptist in faith, but a lover of people at heart. Always wanting to help a total stranger gave her that peace, and fulfillment of life.
She loved her coworkers; they were her second family but couldn’t leave them behind even though the beach life was what she wanted most.
Her family came first. She was a loving mother, wife, daughter and sister.
She is survived by her husband of 20 years, Shane Foshie; son, Tyler Foshie; daughter, Shalee Foshie, who gave her a purpose in life and brought her the most joy and kept her going; mother, Alma Sutton, who gave her the life that she so loved; sister, Jackie Sutton, who was always there for her, and reminding her she loved her but, more importantly, Jesus loved her; mother-in-law, Julia (Judy) Foshie; nephews, Levi Turner and Austin Holland; sister-in-law, Kim Foshie Foulks; brother-in-law, James (Jamey) Foshie; and her sweet little dog, Olivia, who carried her and stayed by her side through some of the most difficult things in her life.
She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Sutton, who she adored. He always taught her about forgiveness and her walk with God; her grandparents, Acie and Racheal Brown.
Bev will be deeply missed. Her smile, laughter, and kind-heartedness will never be forgotten. Although not here physically in our presence. She will always be with us in our hearts.
We can’t thank all of her coworkers, friends, family, even strangers that are now like family for all the support of us and Bev during this time. And for always loving her enough. And Tree of Life Church for accepting Bev and our family as their own.
A celebration of life will be hosted by her coworkers on August 18 from 5–7 p.m. at the C.A.R.E. CENTER, 766 W. A.J. Hwy., in Greeneville. Afterwards, her ashes will be spread on the beaches she loved in Destin, FL, on her birthday and Myrtle Beach, where her family made the most memories.
