Greeneville Police say yet another phone scam is making it’s rounds.
Police say a victim advised that he received a phone call where the caller said he is “Officer Daniels” with the Greeneville Police Department and the “Officer” told him he failed to report for Jury Duty but could resolve the warrant by paying money.
Greeneville Police or any law enforcement agency for that matter would never call you regarding jury duty or ask you make payments over the phone to make a warrant go away.
Police advise if you have questions concerning jury duty, contact the Greene County Circuit Court Office or the Federal Clerk Office.
