A man died in a tractor related accident Friday evening.
The St. James volunteer fire department in Greeneville emergency and rescue squad were called to the 1000 block of Little Meadow Creek Road around 8:30 PM. A tree had reportedly fallen on a man on a tractor, pinning him against the tractor. Volunteers had to stabilize the tree to remove the victim.
It reportedly took around two hours to extricate the victim, and volunteers left the scene around 11:00 PM.
EMS and the Greene County Sheriff’s department also responded. The name is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
