BASEBALL

Greeneville 14, Cherokee 0

Behind a no-hitter from Will Harmon the Greeneville baseball team picked up a 14-0 win over Cherokee on Monday night.

Harmon threw all five innings using just 51 pitches. He struck out six, allowed no hits and only walked one batter.

At the plate Maddox Bishop led Greeneville’s offense by going 3-for-4 with a home run, double and six RBIs. Harmon was 2-for-4 with a double. Grayson Grosby and Kaine Ricker were both 1-for-2 with three RBIs. Carson Norris was 1-for-3 with three runs scored, and Kobe Mundy was 1-for-1 with two runs scored.

Greeneville will take on the Chiefs again on Tuesday, and will wrap up District 2-3A play on Wednesday at Claiborne.

Chuckey-Doak 11, North Greene 1

The Chuckey-Doak baseball earned an 11-1 win at North Greene on Monday.

The Black Knights earned eight hits in the win. Jake Hinkle went 2-for-4 with a double and two RBIs. James Seidl was 2-for-2 with two RBIs and three runs scored. Dom Atchison went 2-for-2 with two RBIs and two runs scored. Lynkin Cutshaw had a double, two RBIs and two runs scored.

Hinkle earned the win on the mound in a six-inning, complete-game effort. He struck out five, walked three and allowed three hits.

For North Greene Jake Duffy and Isaac Gaby both had a double.

Aidan Halley took the loss on the mound. In six innings he struck out one, walked three and allowed eight hits.

Chuckey-Doak improves to 13-10 on the year while North Greene falls to 11-9.

SOFTBALL

North Greene 9, South Greene 2

The North Greene softball team picked up a 9-2 win over South Greene on Monday.

The Lady Huskies got eight hits from eight different players. Josie Graham had a home run with two RBIs, and two runs scored. Heidi Trentham had a triple with an RBI, and Hannah Brooks had a double with three RBIs and two runs scored.

In the circle Charlie Turnmire tossed all seven innings for the Lady Huskies. She struck out two, walked five and allowed three hits.

For South Greene Kortnei Bailey had a double. Saddie Knowles and Reagan Arrowood each had a single.

Bailey took the loss. In six innings she struck out four, walked one and allowed five hits.

North Greene improves to 12-5 on the season while South Greene drops to 8-5.

West Greene 6, Unaka 3

The West Greene softball team went to Unaka on Monday and picked up a 6-3 win.

The Lady Buffaloes pounded out 10 hits in the win. Alexis Cutshall was 3-for-3 with two doubles, and three RBIs. Hayley Arnold was 3-for-4 with a double. Autumn Carte was 1-for-3 with two RBIs.

Morgan Brown earned the win. In seven innings she struck out one, walked two and allowed six hits.

West Greene improves to 8-5 on the season.

BOWLING

The Greeneville High School Bowling celebrated its season and handed out end-of-season awards on Monday night.
