A Mosheim man is facing multiple charges after pulling out a gun during an argument with a woman late Wednesday night.
Deputies with the Greene County Sheriff’s Department went to a residence in the 10000 block of the West Andrew Johnson Highway and spoke with a woman who said that 25-year-old Mitchell Edmondson was beating on her door around 10:20 Wednesday night.
Edmondson began arguing with the woman and took her phone to keep her from calling 911, then reportedly pulled out a gold-colored gun and put it to his head. About two hours later, Edmondson grabbed the woman’s car keys and left the residence around 12:30 this morning.
Deputies stopped Edmondson’s vehicle near the East Andrew Johnson Highway and Tusculum Bypass, and found three handguns along with cocaine, methamphetamine, fentanyl and several pills. Edmondson attempted to pull away while being handcuffed.
Edmondson is charged with aggravated assault, interference with 911 calls, possession of a firearm during a felony, possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia, resisting arrest and driving on a suspended license third offense.
