The Greeneville City Council meets this afternoon and will consider approving the rezoning of nine parcels of land (1st reading) located along Pearl Street, West Irish Street, and Henry Street.
The parcels were previously reviewed during the Greeneville Municipal Planning Commission meeting earlier this month. Planning Director Randy Davenport explained there have been many properties that were zoned incorrectly in the past and this is a way to fix those errors sooner than later. The parcels current zoning is M-2 and the request is to rezone them to R-3.
The City Council will consider the approval of equipment to upfit police vehicles in the Greeneville Police Department for almost $28,000.
Also on the agenda, is a resolution to apply and accept the Cyber Security Matching Grant program, which will provide reduced liability for Greeneville employees and a secure cyber environment.
Furthermore, the council will consider adopting changes to the Human Resources Regulations and Employee Handbook. A Beer Board meeting will follow the meeting. The City Council meets at 4 PM in the G. Thomas Love Boardroom, at the Greeneville Energy Authority Building, located on 110 North College Street.
