Entering the month of December, freshman guard Lauren Bailey has been named Big South Conference Freshman of the Week, the league office announced on Monday afternoon. This is the second Freshman of the Week award won by Gardner-Webb this season.
Bailey picked up 12 points, three rebounds, one steal, and shot 57 percent from the field and 66 percent from three-point land against Furman University last week on November 29. All 12 points came from behind the arc and in the first quarter for Bailey.

This season, Bailey has compiled four double-digit performances for the Runnin’ Bulldogs. She currently is 17th in the Big South in points per game this season.
