Arraignment was held this week for a Greene County man who was arrested in September for aggravated sexual exploitation of a minor then indicted earlier this month on additional charges of distribution of child sexual abuse material, rape of a child, and sexual activity with an animal.
31-year-old Devon James King of Carmel Hill Road in the Sunnyside community, had been arrested September 11th on 8 counts of aggravated sexual exploitation of a minor and has remained jailed since that time on a $1.2 million dollar bond. The in-jail arraignment before Judge John F. Dugger, Jr. was held in Greene County Criminal Court on Tuesday.
The Greene County Grand Jury presentment November 10th additionally charged King with:
– 3 counts of Aggravated Rape of a Child
– 9 counts of Aggravated Sexual Battery
– 13 counts Especially Aggravated Sexual Exploitation of a Minor
– 5 counts of Sexual Exploitation of a Minor (4 counts of 100 images each; 1 count of 50 images)
– 21 counts of Sexual Activity with an Animal
According to the Greene County Sheriff’s Office, an investigation began earlier this year with the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children involving the distribution of child sexual abuse material.
Including his earlier incarceration, total bond for King is now set at $1.2 million.
King remains at the Greene County Detention Center following the arraignment. A status hearing in the case is scheduled January 15th.
