Eight people were transported to the Johnson City Medical Center following a two-vehicle accident Wednesday night on the Blue Springs Parkway near Lovers Lane, with one flown from the scene.
The wreck occurred around 9:00 pm when a Volkswagen Jetta driven by Sadie G. Bowers crossed over the centerline and collided with a Ford Explorer driven by Adrienne B. Scott. Both vehicles came to rest on opposite sides of the roadway.
Scott was transported by EMS to the Johnson City Medical Center with non-incapacitating injuries. Five passengers in her vehicle were also taken for medical treatment. Only one passenger was identified in the report, Matthew P. Solomon. He reportedly had minor injuries. One passenger had non-incapacitating injuries. The other three passengers had minor injuries.
Bowers reportedly suffered non-incapacitating injuries and was transported by EMS to the Johnson City Medical Center. A passenger in her vehicle, Lucas W. Parton, had suspected major injuries and was flown to the hospital.
The Mosheim Police Department investigated the wreck.
