The Board of Directors of the Dickson-Williams Historical Association will host a special ceremony honoring a former Greeneville alderman who continues to serve the community through her dedication and support. The Ceremony is scheduled for September 1, 2025, at The Mansion.
Sarah E.T. Webster served the people of Greeneville as an alderman for 29 years. Beyond her role on the Board of Mayor and Aldermen, she has been active in numerous community organizations, including the Greeneville Parks & Recreation Advisory Board, the Greene County–Greeneville Emergency Medical Service Board, the Greeneville Woman’s Club, the Greeneville Energy Authority Board, Keep Greene Beautiful, and the Greeneville-Greene County Heritage Trust. In recognition of her service, Webster has received several awards, including statewide recognition as a distinguished Volunteer in the Volunteer State.
Most recently, Webster has continued her legacy of service by supporting the restoration of the historic Dickson-Williams Mansion in downtown Greeneville.
The special ceremony in her honor will begin at 10:00 AM next Monday in The Mansion’s parking lot. Light refreshments will be provided. All citizens of Greeneville and Greene County are invited to attend and celebrate Webster’s many contributions, particularly her significant role in preserving and restoring the Dickson-Williams Mansion.
