The Town of Greeneville will have the American Downtown event, parade, and fireworks today and tonight.
The event will start at 4 pm near the Big Spring in Bicentennial Park behind the library. Please be aware that College Street between Church and Walters State will be closed starting at 3 pm for the event.
The parade will start at 9 pm from Towne Square Shopping Center. It will travel on Summer, right on Culter, right on West Depot Street, and then left on Main Street to Tusculum Boulevard. From there, it will turn right to end at Greeneville High School.
The police will have the parade route shut down to through traffic starting at about 8:30 pm and parking along the route won’t be allowed. As the parade finishes, they will clear the area as soon as possible to get traffic flowing again. However, please expect delays in the area until after the fireworks.
The fireworks will start when the parade ends. Look toward Burley Stadium to see them!
