Police received a report Saturday that stolen property was believed to be listed on social media.
Earlier this month, a man reported his pit bike had been stolen. Yesterday, he believed he had located the bike on Facebook marketplace. The victim described in detail what his pit bike looked like, and officers went to the person who had listed the bike, Devin Carter, of Seaton Avenue.
Carter told officers in the report that another individual had brought him the bike, told him to sell it and they would split the money. Police were able to confirm the bike was the one stolen, and Carter was issued a criminal summons for possession of stolen property. His court date is set for Monday morning.
