Radio Greeneville presents our interviews with the candidates for the contested races in the August 1, 2024, election.
While there are other candidates on the ballot, the only two contested races are for those of Town of Greeneville Mayor and Greeneville Town Council.
Today we aired the interviews Matt Hensley, Peter Higgins, and incumbent Tim Teague, who are running for town council in Ward 2. Below you will find the links to those interviews, as well as those with Scott Bullington and Jonathan Cave, who are also running for that position.
Interviews were aired in alphabetical order, as they appear on the ballot.
A public forum for the candidates is also planned for Thursday, July 25, 2024, at Walters State Community College. We welcome your submission of questions to present to the candidates. You can e-mail your questions to [email protected]. We will collect all submitted questions and attempt to ask as many as possible as time allows. Questions of a similar nature or topic may be combined to avoid repetition. No questions that contain personal attacks will be considered.
The public is encouraged to attend, and we will air the forum on 95.5 FM WSMG.
Early voting continues through Saturday, July 27 at 311 CCU Boulevard, Suite 1. The hours at the Election Commission Office are Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 8:30 AM until 4:30 PM, Tuesday and Thursday from 8:30 AM until 5:30 PM, and Saturday from 8:30 AM until noon.
