A piece of equipment being used as part of the Nolichucky River clean-up was destroyed by fire on Friday.
The Camp Creek Volunteer Fire Department was called to a debris site off the 107 Cutoff near Sentelle Road just before 12 noon on Friday. The unloading and lifting machine was located between large piles of debris that is being trucked in from along the river.
