An incoming weather system will bring the chance of strong to severe thunderstorms late Sunday night through midday Monday.
According to Heather Sipe with Greene County Office of Emergency Management, the risk of severe weather for Greene County is slight. The main risks are from damaging winds and heavy rain, with a low chance of isolated tornadoes as a secondary threat.
Confidence is currently low on the timing of the strongest storms, but as of now between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m. on Monday is the most likely time frame for strong storms.
Radio Greeneville news will have further updates throughout the weekend on the possibility of severe weather on Monday.
