North Greene 44 – Unaka 39
Thomas Darnell dropped in 16 points, while Lance Carrico followed with 13 as the North Greene Huskies secured back to back district titles and their 4th since 2017. They advance to the Region 1-A semi-finals at West Ridge, North Greene earns a first round bye.
District 1-AA
South Greene 61 – West Greene 49
The Rebels claimed 3rd straight district title behind 20 points from Jase Roderick, 12 from Cayden Fillers, and 10 from Gavin Dyer. Chandler Gamble, who was plagued with foul trouble, played limited minutes but was named the tournament MVP. The Rebels will host Onieda Saturday night in the first round of the Region 1-AA tournament.
The Buffaloes top scorers were Elijah Williams with 16 and Ayden Lamons with 13. They will host Eagleton Academy on Saturday in the opening round of the Region 1-AA tournament.
District 2-AAA
Greeneville 64 – Grainger 37
Tournament Most Valuable Player, Trey Thompson led the Greene Devils with 23 points and 13 rebounds as they secured their seventh consecutive district title. Jherivus Moore and Isaac McGill, who were both named to the All-Tournament Team scored 8 and 7 points respectively. Yordan Mills also dropped in 7 points in the win. Zaydyn Anderson was the final Greene Devil to be named to the All Tournament Team. Greeneville will be back in action Saturday night at Hal Henard when they host Elizabethton in the first round of the Region 1-AAA tournament.
