Former Tusculum Mayor Robert K. Bird passed away on Thursday at his home. He was 95.
Bird served as Tusculum Mayor from 1989-1993 and again from 1995-2003. He also served as Vice-Mayor, Tusculum Commissioner, Greene County Commissioner, Director of the Greene County Purchasing Department, and served on the Tusculum Planning Commission.
Bird was a United States Army Veteran and was a special agent with the FBI for 24 years.
His father, John Bird, was the first mayor of Tusculum in 1959.
