The finalists for the 40th annual TSSAA Mr. Football award have been announced and Greeneville’s Carson Quillen was named a finalist in Class 4A.
During the 2024 campaign, Quillen accumulated 2383 all-purpose yards while becoming the Greene Devils’ all-time leading scorer. He rushed 179 times for 1775 yards and scored 33 touchdowns. He also had 13 receptions for 218 yards and 2 scores.
He, along with Anderson County’s Waylon LaRue and Marshall County’s Tyler Thompson, will be vying for the award, which will be handed out at a luncheon on December 10th at Nissan Stadium, in Nashville. Mike Keith, the play by play voice for the Tennessee Titans, will emcee the awards presentation, while a livestream of the presentations will be provided on the Tennessee Titans website.
