Power has been restored to all but around 150 customers in Greene County by Tuesday afternoon.
GEA President Dwayne Wells said that the last large areas of outages are due to the loss of lines crossing the Nolichuckey River. Wells said that crews had been able to pull a temporary line across the river and hoped to have those customers reconnected soon.
The largest areas without power are around an area across Bewley’s Bridge and along Pates Lane and Davy Crockett Birthplace State Park. Included in that total are 31 connections at and around the Kinser Park area.
Over 10,000 total customers were without power during different times over the last few days. It started with the strong winds that came through before the floods. But the flooding destroyed poles and access across the river.
