The second week of the Greeneville/Greene County Public Library’s Summer Reading Program took place on Tuesday, June 3rd, and featured expert fiber artists from the Greene County Makers. Attendees of all ages explored a range of textile techniques and had the chance to try their hand at creating their own colorful crafts.
This year’s theme, “Color Our World,” celebrates creativity and the arts. In addition to weekly events, participants can log their reading to earn prizes. A teen-focused program is also held each Thursday at 3:00 p.m.; at the June 5th session, teens learned to hand weave their own bookmarks.
Tuesday morning events will continue weekly through July 1st. The next program, focusing on photography, will take place from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on June 10th.
