Sessions Court cases will be heard today as scheduled, but all Circuit and Chancery cases will be postponed.
The Greene County Courthouse Annex and all offices and departments will be closed through Wednesday. A determination to close Thursday and Friday will be made Wednesday morning depending on the water supply situation. This closure will also apply to UT Extension, Building and Zoning, Soil Conservation, Animal Control, Range, Veteran Services, and Maintenance.
The Greene County Main Courthouse will be open on a very limited basis everyday for the purpose of arraignments and limited hearings and case management as directed by the Courts. The Circuit Court Clerk and the Clerk and Master in conjunction with Courthouse Security and our Judicial Officials will coordinate the necessary hearings, times, and staffing to accomplish the required work prescribed by TCA law. Staff restrooms will be very limited and public restrooms will be unavailable.
