Two people received burn injuries in an incident in northern Greene County on Monday.
The United Volunteer Fire Department set up a landing zone for Highlands Air Rescue around 8PM Monday night in the 12000 block of the Horton Highway, near Fodderstack Loop. Two people suffered burns in what started out as a controlled burn. One of those burned was flown for treatment of his injuries. A second person went by private vehicle to Holston Valley for treatment of burns.
United responded with one truck and five volunteers and extinguished the fire. Greene County EMS also responded to the scene.
