A Mosheim woman was arrested for evading and resisting arrest Saturday after refusing officer commands.
Around 9:45 Saturday morning, an officer observed a blue Pontiac speeding on the 70 Bypass near Wesley Ave. Radar confirmed the car was going 60 in a 40 mile per hour zone. Police initiated lights and siren and the car reportedly started to pull over, but continued towards the city limits. The vehicle pulled over on West Summer Street, but pulled off before the officer could exit the vehicle.
The car stopped again, and an unknown vehicle blocked it in. Police gave commands for the driver, identified as Denise Schultz of Blue Springs Parkway, to exit the vehicle, but Schultz refused and reportedly began arguing.
Schultz did finally exit the vehicle and was taken into custody. She is charged with speeding, evading, and resisting arrest.
