Radio Greeneville presents our interviews with the candidates for the contested races in the August 1, 2024, election.
While there are other candidates on the ballot, the only two contested races are for those of Town of Greeneville Mayor and Greeneville Town Council.
Former Mayor W. T. Daniels is seeking to regain that seat in a contest against incumbent Mayor Cal Doty. Below are our interviews with the candidates.
A public forum for the candidates is also planned for Thursday, July 25, 2024, at Walters State Community College. We welcome your submission of questions to present to the candidates. You can e-mail your questions to [email protected]. We will collect all submitted questions and attempt to ask as many as possible as time allows. Questions of a similar nature or topic may be combined to avoid repetition. No questions that contain personal attacks will be considered.
Interviews for the five candidates vying for the two Town Council seats will be split between Tuesday and Wednesday. Incumbent Scott Bullington and newcomer Jonathan Cave will have their interviews aired on Tuesday. Candidates Matt Hensley and Peter Higgins and incumbent Tim Teague will have their interviews aired on Wednesday.
The public is encouraged to attend, and we will air the forum on 95.5 FM WSMG.
