A woman was charged with assault on an officer following an incident at a Bulls Gap residence on Friday.
The Greene County Sheriff’s Department responded to the home on Mt. Carmel Road around 11:00 PM on the report of a disturbance. While on the scene, the woman allegedly engaged in threatening behavior, acted disorderly, and made statements that made her seem out of touch with reality. According to the report, she resisted detainment by deputies by physically pulling away, refusing to obey any commands, and striking a deputy in the face.
The woman was taken into custody for assault on an officer, resisting stop, frisk, halt, arrest or search, and domestic assault.
