A man found passed out in his vehicle at Dollar General was arrested with public intoxication and drug charges on Sunday.
The Greene County Sheriff’s Department responded to the 4400 block of the Erwin Highway after 10 PM and found the male Hunter Gregg, slumped behind the wheel. Gregg reportedly was found asleep with a container in his hand that had a crystal substance in it. A deputy said he appeared intoxicated and had saliva falling from his nose and mouth.
Gregg allegedly woke up after multiple attempts were made and deputies conducted a pat down search. Another container was found that had pills inside, reported to be Oxycodone. An 870 Express Magnum shotgun was also found loaded in the vehicle. He was placed into custody and taken to the Greene County Detention Center.
