A Greeneville woman walking in the roadway was later arrested for public intoxication Tuesday afternoon.
The Greeneville Police Department was on patrol near the North Highland Avenue and West Church Street intersection when they spotted a woman identified as Ivey Stills. Stills was stopped and advised by police to walk on the sidewalk, and she complied.
Some time after 4:30 PM a call was made to report a female walking in the road near West Church Street. Stills was found by police walking in the road again, in the direction of traffic, with no shoes on. She reportedly appeared under the influence.
She was detained and arrested, then transported to the Greene County Detention Center.
