The Tennessee Department of Labor & Workforce Development reported this afternoon that Greene County’s unemployment rate for December was 3.9 percent, down from 4.5 percent in November.
Greene County’s rate a year ago was 4.2 percent.
The unemployment rate for December 2023 decreased in 92 Tennessee counties, increased in two counties, and stayed the same in one county. Moore County had the lowest rate at 2.1 percent, while Bledsoe County had the highest rate at 4.8 percent.
The state’s seasonally adjusted unemployment rate for December was 3.5 percent, unchanged from November.
