A deputy with the Greene County Sheriff’s Office busted his radiator during a vehicle pursuit Sunday morning, the suspect was taken to the hospital after a K-9 assisted with his arrest.
The report states the deputy responded to a traffic offense near Phillipi Road and ran a tag on a vehicle, which did not show up on file. The vehicle reportedly drove off and after emergency equipment was activated, the driver, later identified as Richard L. Crisp of Afton, failed to stop. Crisp continued driving, traveling between North Mohawk, Idell, and Phillipi Road.
He eventually drove through a field, attempted to go through the woods, and wrecked into a sinkhole. K-9 Narco was reportedly utilized to apprehend Crisp. He was transported to the hospital for injuries and Animal Control was called for his dog.
During the pursuit, a deputy bottomed out after driving through the yard and a ditch line and busted his radiator. Crisp was charged with Evading Arrest, Driving Left of Center of Road, and more.
