A man reported his debit card was used on Cash App after he did not get it back in a restaurant drive-thru.
The Statler Park man told to the Greeneville Police Department he used the drive-thru at Bojangles on East Andrew Johnson Highway Wednesday around 7:00 PM and did not get his debit card back. The next day, the victim received a notification from his bank saying his card had been used to send $215 to someone via Cash App. The victim did not authorize anyone to withdraw funds from his bank.
The name of the person who the funds were sent to reportedly matched the name of an employee at the restaurant. That employee told police he had not used Cash App in a few years.
The investigation is continuing.
