Police spotted a possible warrant suspect in a truck parked at a gas station at the 800 block of West Andrew Johnson Highway.
According to the report, the officer knew of the suspect, Matthew Tolley of Chuckey, who gave the name and social security number of another individual, however, the Driver’s License photo did not match. Matthew Tolley was asked to step out of the vehicle and was placed under arrest for multiple warrants.
The driver of the vehicle also gave a false name, and was eventually identified as Tory Nelson of Forest Street, who had an active criminal violation of probation. Nelson was also placed under arrest.
During a search of the vehicle, 3.5 grams of a white crystal substance, 7 grams of a green leafy substance, several pills, 2 glass pipes, a burnt spoon, and 2 scales were found. Tolley allegedly admitted that the drugs and paraphernalia belonged to him.
In addition to the warrants arrests, Nelson was charged with Driving on Revoked License and Criminal Impersonation. Tolley was charged with Possession of Meth, Possession of Schedule 2 Drugs, Possession of Schedule 6 Drugs, Drug Paraphernalia, and Criminal Impersonation.
