Growth In Town Population Continues

The town of Greenville has been catching the eye of many, especially out-of-state developers and it doesn’t seem like the interest is going to decline.

Planning Director Randy Davenport shared with the Greeneville Municipal Planning Commission that Greeneville has been experiencing a level of growth that hasn’t really been seen before and feels the town is in a unique position. He said the town has been breaking new ground in some ways.

Greeneville seems to be the spot to be right now, at least according to newcomers and apparently the spot to develop in as well. Many developers are interested in Greeneville and people want to move here. They always get asked the same question, why Greeneville?

Davenport spoke with a few who are planning to move here and said they all had wonderful comments. The town offers things that other towns and cities don’t really have. Davenport says Greeneville is held highly in regard by folks that come here and the town should be proud.
