A man was arrested Monday night on drug charges following a traffic stop.
An officer with the Greeneville Police Department stopped a vehicle on Bohannon Avenue due to a loud muffler.
The driver was identified as Paul Hayes of Fillers Mill Road. An odor of marijuana was detected and a search of the vehicle was conducted. A grinder containing marijuana, a glass pipe, a cut straw, a marijuana cigarette, two baggies with .5 grams of meth, and two grams of THC wax were discovered.
Hayes performed poorly on field sobriety tests. He was taken into custody for possession of schedule 2 and 6 drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia, DUI, and driving on a revoked or suspended license.
