Motor vehicle theft was reported from a property on Round Knob Road in Greeneville Wednesday.
The victim spoke with a deputy from Greene County Sheriff’s Department and stated he has a bus parked on his property that was recently stolen. About 2 PM yesterday he stated his brother called to alert him it was missing.
According to the report, a friend of the victim stated she knew who took the bus and that they stole it to scrap it for metal, receiving $500 for it. Screen shots were even provided from the friend. The victim called the scrap yard and an employee allegedly stated he did not know of a bus in the lot and said it had been a while since they received one.
The victim believes a friend of the suspect works at the scrap yard and is covering for him.
