A Greeneville man reportedly got scammed out of $8,500 after he hired a man to complete work on his driveway on Orrick Lane.
The victim spoke with the Greene County Sheriff’s Department yesterday and said he hired suspect Jason Gibson for the job. The next day the check was cashed. At some point Gibson worked on 3 yards of the driveway but used the wrong materials according to the victim. The driveway now has to be torn up and redone, but the suspect has not returned to complete the job and has not responded.
A certified letter was sent a month ago to the suspect according to the report and the victim has filed a report with the Attorney General Office.
