In two games this postseason, the Lady Devils have looked like one of the top teams in the state. Greeneville would secure the District Tournament Championship on Monday with a 61-39 victory over the Grainger Lady Grizzlies.
Kyla Jobe led the Lady Devils with 17 points while Lauren Bailey added 15 and Anna Shaw with 13 in the win. In the tournament wins over Claiborne and Grainger, Greeneville would outscore their opponents 135-69 and has now won seven of their last eight games heading into the Regional Tournament.
Miss Basketball finalist Lauren Bailey was named the District 2-AAA Tournament MVP while Dalaina Martin, Kyla Jobe, and Anna Shaw were named to the All-Tournament team.
With the win, Greeneville will host Sullivan East in the Regional Quarterfinal from Hal Henard on Friday.
