According to the National Weather Service in Morristown, there will be two storm systems affecting the area this week.
The first begins on Tuesday night into Wednesday with gusty winds and limited rainfall in the county. The second will bring widespread showers with possible thunderstorms expected Thursday into the evening. A few storms may be strong to severe Thursday and repeated heavy rainfall could lead to localized flooding.
A High Wind Watch will be in effect for Southeast Greene County from late Tuesday afternoon through Wednesday morning. Winds of 30 to 40 miles per hour are expected, with gusts up to 60 miles per hour in the mountains and foothills.
