Two people were arrested Thursday afternoon following an investigation into drug activity at a Greene County residence.
Officers were surveilling a trailer along Kilday Lane around 5:00 Thursday and followed a pickup truck from the residence onto Shiloh Road. A traffic stop was made at Swan Acres Park, and 8.3 grams of meth along with nearly $2,700 were found in the possession of 37-year-old Ricky Jones. Jones also admitted to having heroin inside a small tin container.
The driver of the truck said that 36-year-old Christy Hodge was still inside the residence from where they came, and Tusculum police saw her running away from the home and took her into custody. Inside the home, officers found an additional 1.2 ounces of meth in a plastic storage container next to the bed along with baggies, syringes and scales. Also found in a backpack was an additional $173 cash.
Hodge was arrested on a warrant for violating probation, while Jones is facing charges that include manufacture, sale and delivery, possession of a schedule 1 drug and a violation of probation.
