A man from Jonesborough was shot early yesterday morning at a residence on Ash Meadow Drive and transferred to the Johnson City Medical Center.
At about 4 AM, the complainant according to the police report was with his cousin helping a friend load up some items at his residence. He said he was in the back bedroom making sure nothing else was missed and heard a voice yell out at that time from the living room. He went into the living room and heard gunshots. The victim, his cousin, yelled out for him to get down and he went into the bedroom and locked the door. A vehicle was heard as it turned on and drove off the property.
The victim was found on the coach in the living room bleeding. 911 was dialed as he was in and out of consciousness. Deputies arrived on the scene and found him with a gunshot wound to his shoulder. A suspect was unknown at that time according to the report. EMS arrived and transported him to the Johnson City Medical Center.
