Greene County Mayor Kevin Morrison released a statement yesterday announcing Ms. C J Vickery as the first female Fire Chief in Greene County history.
Ms. C J Vickery will become the first female Fire Chief in Greene County when Cedar Creek VFD installs her the Chief of the department this Saturday, January 7. A welcome ceremony will be held at 12 PM at the Cedar Creek VFD Fire Hall, located at 3342 Cedar Creek Road in Greeneville.
Chief Vickery will also be the 4th generation of her family to hold the title of Chief of Cedar Creek VFD. Chief Vickery is prepared to continue to build upon the important lifesaving work that Cedar Creek VFD represents to the community. County Mayor Morrison says she is a tenacious and proactive leader, will do very well in this important role and will continue to build upon the important lifesaving work that Cedar Creek VFD represents to the Cedar Creek community
