On Monday, Aug. 3, 2026, Linda Graham Morelock passed away peacefully at her home, surrounded by her family.
She was born Aug. 17, 1940, to Brooks and Juanita Graham in LaFollette, Tennessee. She was the youngest of five siblings: Brooks Jr., Joan, Dorothy and Margie.
While attending college at ETSU, she was introduced to John Morelock. Quick to fall in love, they married and had two children. She was an elementary school teacher, touching countless lives and nurturing future generations.
She was a member of the Greeneville Red Hat Ladies and a friend of the public library. She was an avid tennis player and bridge player and loved to escape to the beach for stays with friends.
A kind soul and a loyal friend, she will be sorely missed by all who knew her.
Linda is survived by her two sons, John M. Morelock Jr. (Elizabeth) and Brooks G. Morelock (Carla); and her grandchildren, John M. Morelock III (Jaikiran), Sloan Henderson, Whitney Lattin (Devin), Emilie Burt (Tery), Jill Hoover and Jennifer Prescher.
Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 20, at Greenlawn Cemetery. Family, friends and those who cared for her are welcome. The family requests that attendees wear bright colors rather than traditional black attire to celebrate her life rather than her death.
Following the funeral, there will be a reception beginning at 2 p.m. at Trinity United Methodist Church. All are welcome.
