Janice C. Johnson, 79, of Chuckey, passed away Saturday, Oct. 24, 2026.
She attended Dixon Chapel Church of God as long as her health permitted.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Brad and Heather Johnson; grandchildren, Ethan, Ean and Evan Johnson, all of Greeneville, and Morgan Cox of Seattle, Washington; brother and sister-in-law, Roger and Peggy Carter; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Beverly Carter, Janet Johnson, Bonnie Johnson, Rocky and Janet Johnson, and Gerald Oliver; nieces and nephews, Crissy and Thomas Tawney, Kenny Carter, Michael Carter, Karen and Alan Cobble, Mickey Johnson, Tim Johnson, Derrick Johnson, Vickie Johnson, Nancy Johnson, David Johnson, Isiah Johnson and Kevin Oliver; and her Dixon Chapel Church family.
She was preceded in death by her former husband, Gene Johnson; son, Doug Johnson; parents, Howard and Catherine Carter; and brother, Wilson K. Carter.
The graveside service will be held at 4:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 29, 2026, at Liberty Hill Cemetery, with Pastor Steve Hux officiating.
