Flora M. “Polly” Harrison, 95, passed away peacefully on the afternoon of Thursday, Sept. 17, 2026, surrounded by the love of her two daughters by her side.
For many years, Polly’s heart and home were centered at 1124 Camp Creek Road in Greeneville. Following a fall, surgery and a period of nursing home recovery, she spent the final few months of her life residing at her daughter’s home, where she was blessed with constant visitors, deep family support and endless love.
A dedicated homemaker for most of her life, Polly loved the Lord with all her heart and lived a truly godly life. She was a longtime member of Gethsemane United Methodist Church and was so ready to look upon the face of her Jesus. Known to everyone as the most caring and beloved pillar of the family, she was so loved by her nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
Polly was affectionately known as “Nanny” to a large, beautiful family, proudly living to see her great-great-grandchildren. Among them, her first grandson, Brian, held a deeply sacred place in her heart. He dedicated much of his time to loving and caring for his Nanny. Her great-granddaughter, Alexis, also shared a remarkably powerful bond with her, and despite the distance of living in Alabama, Alexis adored her Nanny completely. Rodney and Dustin, oh, how she loved you both.
Polly was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Vesta Ellis; her sisters, Donnie Shelton and Emma Ruth Jones; her husband, M.M. Harrison; and her beloved son, Doyle M. Harrison.
She leaves behind a legacy of love through her surviving children, Jerry E. Harrison, Tena M. Vance and Jacklin R. Horton, along with her extensive, adoring extended family. She was so deeply loved and will be missed beyond measure.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 23, 2026, at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home.
The funeral service will follow at 7 p.m. in the Kiser-Rose Hill Chapel, officiated by the Rev. Doug Jennings.
Interment will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 24, 2026, at Mt. Tabor Cemetery. Family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home at 9 a.m. to go in procession to the cemetery.
Pallbearers are Rodney Spillman, D.J. Morrison, Jacob Thompson, Daniel Bailey, Dustin Ellis Vance and Shane Cruz.
