General Contest Rules
The following General Contest Rules apply to contests conducted by Radio Greeneville, Inc. (“RGI”), including WGRV, WIKQ, WSMG, their websites, social media pages, mobile applications, and any other affiliated platforms, unless otherwise specified in the rules for a particular contest.
1. Eligibility
- Unless otherwise stated, contestants must be at least 16 years of age to participate.
- Contestants under the age of 18 may be required to have a parent or legal guardian present to claim prizes or execute required documents.
- Employees of Radio Greeneville, Inc., contest sponsors, participating promotional partners, and members of their immediate households may not be eligible to participate, as determined by RGI.
2. Entry
- No purchase is necessary to enter or win.
- Contestants must follow the specific entry instructions announced for each contest.
- Entries that are incomplete, fraudulent, duplicated, or generated through automated means may be disqualified.
- Unless otherwise stated, only one prize may be awarded per person or household during any single contest.
3. Winner Selection
- Winners will be selected according to the rules of the specific contest.
- Winners must comply with all contest rules to remain eligible.
- Failure to respond or claim a prize within the time specified by RGI may result in forfeiture of the prize.
4. Prize Claims
- A valid government-issued photo identification or other acceptable proof of identity is required to claim any prize.
- RGI reserves the right to require proof of age, residency, or eligibility before awarding a prize.
- Prizes are non-transferable and may not be redeemed for cash unless specifically stated.
- No substitutions are permitted except at the sole discretion of RGI. RGI reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value if necessary.
5. Taxes
- Winners are solely responsible for any federal, state, or local taxes associated with prizes received.
- If the value of prizes awarded to a winner meets or exceeds the applicable IRS reporting threshold during a calendar year, the winner will be required to complete the necessary tax documentation, and Radio Greeneville, Inc. will issue the appropriate IRS tax form as required by law.
6. Publicity
- By accepting a prize, winners grant Radio Greeneville, Inc. permission to use their name, likeness, photograph, voice, hometown, and prize information for promotional purposes without additional compensation, except where prohibited by law.
7. Disqualification
Radio Greeneville, Inc. reserves the right to disqualify any participant who:
- Violates these rules or the specific contest rules;
- Provides false or misleading information;
- Attempts to manipulate or interfere with the contest;
- Engages in conduct deemed unsportsmanlike or detrimental to the integrity of the contest.
8. Station Authority
Radio Greeneville, Inc. shall be the sole judge in the interpretation of these rules and the administration of all contests. All decisions made by Radio Greeneville, Inc. are final and binding. Any disputes regarding eligibility, entries, winners, prizes, interpretation of these rules, or any other aspect of a contest shall be resolved solely by Radio Greeneville, Inc.
9. Limitation of Liability
By participating, contestants agree to release and hold harmless Radio Greeneville, Inc., its officers, employees, sponsors, affiliates, and agents from any liability arising from participation in the contest or the acceptance, use, or misuse of any prize.
10. Contest Changes
Radio Greeneville, Inc. reserves the right to modify, suspend, postpone, or cancel any contest at any time if circumstances beyond its reasonable control affect the administration, fairness, security, or integrity of the contest.
