Greene County Schools will be on a two-hour delay today. ESP and the Central Office will be open on a regular schedule.
Greeneville City Schools will be open on a regular schedule today.
Walters State Community College , all campuses including Greeneville, are closed today
CHURCH
Bewley’s Chapel Church food pantry and clothes closet is closed again today.
The Gary Douglas burial was postponed until today at 2 pm.
Funeral services and visitation for Jerry Doyle Wills were rescheduled. The family will receive friends on today from 1 – 3 and 4 – 6:30 p.m. at Doughty-Stevens Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Hill Street Church of God. Burial will follow in River Hill Cemetery.
BUSINESS
Consumer Credit Union Greeneville and Mosheim branches will open at 10 AM today.
Unity Urology – Dr. Jason Carter will be closed again today.
Greeneville Energy Authority offices will open at 10 AM today.
The Greeneville Housing Authority will open at 10 am today
EVENTS
Town of Greeneville offices are open on a regular schedule. All garbage collection that was missed on Thursday will be picked up on Monday.
All Greene County Government facilities are open today on a regular schedule.
City of Tusculum garbage which would have normally been picked up on Thursday will be picked up today instead.
Greene County Clerk Mobile Registration at the Camp Creek Ruritan Memorial Park Pavilion originally scheduled for today, has been rescheduled for Friday, February 28 from 9 AM – 2 PM.
SPORTS
The District 1-A Basketball Tournament will start on Saturday instead of tonight as originally scheduled. The North Greene girls will play at Noon on Saturday and the North Greene boys will play at 1:30 PM Saturday.
In District 2-AA at Unicoi County, the South Greene girls will play Saturday at 2:30 PM and Chuckey-Doak girls will play at 4:00 PM. The West Greene boys will play Saturday at 5:30 PM and the South Greene boys will play at 7:00 PM.
In District 2-AAA at Cherokee, the Greeneville girls play Saturday at 3:00 PM and the Greeneville boys will play at 4:30 PM.
Due to weather conditions, Tusculum University tennis has made changes to its upcoming schedule. The Pioneer men’s match against the University of North Georgia has been moved to Friday, February 28 at 11 AM at the Nichols Tennis Complex. The men’s and women’s match at Lee University that was set for Saturday, February 22 will now be played Sunday, February 23 beginning at 1 PM at Lee.
Tusculum University men’s lacrosse has rescheduled their match with Thomas More from Saturday, February 22 to Wednesday, April 16 at 2 PM at Pioneer Field.
