A Greeneville man was arrested after his child reportedly took a candy bar containing THC to school.
According to a report from the Greeneville Police Department, Lenin Figuero of Arnold Road had a chocolate candy bar containing Delta-8 THC in a cabinet at his resisidence. The child got into the cabinet and gained access to the candy bar.
The child then reportedly took the candy bar to Highland
Elementary School, where it was consumed with several other children.
Delta-8 THC is a psychoactive compound derived from hemp. The report indicates that Figuero placed his child in imminent danger of mental impairment by allowing access to the substance.
Figuero was arrested for child abuse and neglect.
